Andrea Luccaroni graduates in Building Engineering in 2000 and, in 2015, gets a PhD in architectural composition at the University of Bologna, with a thesis regarding design, memory and landscape of controversial memory places. In Bologna he is a teacher for the 5th year's Workshop of architecture and urban composition. Since 2000 he taught as adjunct professor for the composition courses of the Faculty of Engineering. He has been visiting professor and reviewer at the Azrieli School of Architecture in Ottawa, at the Neri Bloomfield School of Design in Haifa, at the ENS de Architecture et de Paysage in Bordeaux, at the Lódz University.

After almost ten years of professional collaboration with Gabriele Lelli and Roberta Bandini, he is a founding partners of the firm "Lelli e Associati Architettura", now "LBLA + partners". For the practice he works on urban design, architectural and construction design, infrastructures and construction management.

In June 2015 he has been appointed as Assessor for the Municipality of Faenza, and has therefore reduced his involvement in the practice activities in order to protect the independence of the professional activity.
